About Mackenzie
Meet the Artist
Hi, I’m Mackenzie! I’m a New York City–based actor, singer, producer, writer, and founder of Paper Crowns Productions, a theatre and film company dedicated to creating imaginative, emotionally honest work through collaboration and storytelling.
I recently produced and performed in the new musical At The Silver Moon Open Mic, which made its New York debut at The Green Room 42 on May 8. I’m also currently producing Enemies to Lovers - The Cabaret, premiering at The Green Room 42 on August 14th at 9:30pm.
I grew up in Baldwinsville, just outside Syracuse, New York, and moved to New York City to attend The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, where I studied Musical Theatre. I later completed my BFA in Musical Theatre at The New School. Since then, I’ve continued training at places like Stella Adler Studio of Acting and through Actor Therapy with Ryan Scott Oliver and Lindsay Mendez.
Recently, I’ve loved developing new work, including The Dylan & Grace Show at The Nubox Theatre and Life-Struck at The Producers Club. I’ve also expanded my TV and film resume with appearances on Seduced to Slay, Last Resort, and Mark of a Killer. Onstage, I’ve enjoyed performing at 54 Below and The Green Room 42 in productions such as The Prom (Kaylee), Songs by Sondheim, Campy Musical, Welcome to the 60’s, and more.
Beyond performing, I’m passionate about creating opportunities for artists and building community through new work. Through Paper Crowns Productions, I develop theatre and film projects that feel cinematic, collaborative, whimsical, and deeply human — stories that center imagination, empathy, and connection. I also recently wrote, directed, and acted in the short film Alive, which explores the bittersweet beauty of meeting a stranger, sharing an unforgettable almost cinematic night, and then becoming strangers again.
When I’m not performing, you can usually find me buried in a book (escapism, hello?) or roaming the city in search of my next favorite vegan restaurant. I also love my role as an Advisor and Coach at Broadway Artists Alliance, where I help mentor and prepare Broadway’s next generation of performers for the professional world.
